- Indian Institute of Mass Communication has announced that the result for all the post graduate diploma programmes will be declared on June 20. Interview for English journalism will be conducted from July 2 to 7, while Hindi journalism and public relations will be held from July 3 to 6th. Interview for Radio and Journalism will be held from July 4 to 6th, 2018. Meanwhile, the schedule for Odia, Urdu, Marathi and Malayalam will be announced in the first week of July. released the IIMC 2018 admit card for downloading on May 20.The weightage that is given to the written entrance exam of IIMC, personal interview and group discussion is in the ratio 75:25. Candidates could download the IIMC admit card 2018 by entering their date of birth, mobile number or application number. The same details have to be mentioned for online as well as offline admit card. The authorities had also issued the exact address in different cities where the exam was to be conducted. IMC entrance exam for Odia/Urdu/Marathi/Malayalam Journalism was held on May 26 while the entrance exam 2018 for the postgraduate diploma in journalism (English and Hindi) was conducted in offline mode on May 27. The application form of IIMC 2018 entrance exam was available in both online and offline mode. The last date for filling IIMC application form was extended to May 10, 2018, while earlier the last date for filling it was May 1. IIMC Result 2018

 

The result of IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 will be declared on  June 20.  The roll numbers of all the candidates who have qualified will be listed in the IIMC 2018 result 2018. Candidates must cross check if they have qualified or not. The IIMC 2018 entrance exam result will be announced separately for each course. Qualified candidates will have to attend the interview and group discussion as scheduled by IIMC.

 

IIMC Selection Procedure 2018

Candidates who have qualified in the IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 will be sent call letters to attend the personal interviews as well as group discussions. The call letters will mention the date, time, and venue of the interview. The IIMC 2018 selection process schedule will be announced along with the results. Weightage given to the written exam and interview/group discussion for final selection is 75:25. Personal interviews will take place  from First week of July  fro different courses. Interview  schedule for Odia/Urdu/Marathi and Malayalam will be announced in the first week of July. Group Discussion and interview for PG diploma in English Journalism willbe held from July 2-7,2018; group discussion and interview for hindi journalism and advertising and PR will be held  from July 3-6, 2018 and for radio and television journalism, the group discussion will be announced in the first week of July 2018. 

 

Final admissions to each campus will be as per the choice of the candidates as indicated in their IIMC 2018 application forms.

 

Reservation of Seats

 

The reservation guidelines for the admissions are as per the orders of the Government of India. Five seats are reserved for NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates, in each of the programmes, for which a separate application form has to be submitted.

 

Hostel Facilities at IIMC campuses

IIMC New Delhi has limited accommodation for outstation female students only. However, hostels at IIMC Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amravati, Jammu and Kottayam have facilities for both male and female students.

The admit card of IIMC 2018 entrance exam was available for downloading from May 20 onwards. Candidates can obtain the IIMC 2018 admit card by logging in. They had to enter their date of birth, mobile number or application number. The login details for both online and offline are the same. The personal details of the candidate along with the exam date, time and centre were mentioned on the IIMC Admit Card 2018. How to fill online application form of IIMC 2018?

Candidates can fill the IIMC 2018 application form in online mode. The steps that need to be followed while filling the IIMC application form  2018 in online mode are given below.

  • Candidates can click on the link that will be provided on this page to fill the online application form of IIMC 2018 
  • Mention all the requisite details like name, category, gender, course applied for etc.
  • Pay the application fee either through net banking or debit/credit card
  • Submit it the IIMC application form 2018.
  • Candidate will receive a confirmation mail at the registered e-mail id.
  • Candidates must take a printout of the filled application form of IIMC entrance exam 2018 for future reference.

Obtaining the IIMC Application Form in Person or by Post

  • Application form of IIMC entrance exam 2018 can be purchased in person on payment of the application fee through a demand draft only, drawn on any scheduled bank payable to Registrar IIMC at New Delhi, from IIMC New Delhi or IIMC Dhenkanal (Odisha).
  • If a candidate wants to purchase IIMC 2018 application form through post, he/she must make sure that postal requests must be in the form of a written request giving details like name, address with pincode and phone number along with the DD and a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 70/-) envelope (27 x 17 cm) to IIMC Delhi, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, JNU New Campus, New Delhi - 110067
  • After receiving the application form, candidates must fill all the requisite details.

IIMC Eligibility Criteria 2018

The eligibility criteria of IIMC 2018 includes parameters which the candidates have to meet with regard to academic qualification, age criteria, nationality. Candidates who will be applying for IIMC entrance exam 2018 must check and meet the eligibility criteria.

Question – I was born on July 31, 1990. Can I apply for the IIMC entrance exam?

Answer – No, you are not eligible for IIMC 2018 entrance test. As per eligibility criteria, candidates born on August 1, 1990 or later can apply for the test.

 

Question  How can I get the application form?

Answer – There are two methods to get IIMC Application form. You can either download the online application form or you can purchase it from the IIMC centres.

 

Question  Can I modify the changes after submitting the IIMC 2018 application form?

Answer – No, you cannot. There is no provision to make the changes in the application form once it is submitted. Therefore candidates are required to enter all the details very carefully.

 

Question  How can I pay Application form fee of IIMC entrance exam?

Answer – You can pay IIMC Application fee either in online mode through Net Banking/Debit/Credit cards or in offline mode by submitting the Demand Draft (DD).

 

Question  How to get IIMC 2018 admit card?

Answer – As per the exam instructions, the word limit as indicated must be followed. You can write less than or equal to the prescribed number of words but not more than that.
