SRFTI Admission 2018 - Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute has released the list of Shortlisted candidates for Orientation and Interview on April 20, 2018. The complete schedule for selection to different programmes is given below. FTII, the body that conducted the JET 2018 entrance exam announced the JET result on April 15. Candidates can check the result by entering their login details and download the scorecard. Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute has shortlisted candidates for SRFTI 2018 admission based on the performance of the candidate in Joint Entrance Test (JET) and the orientation and interview which will be conducted by the institute. FTII had released JET Admit Card 2018 in online mode on February 8, 2018 and was available till February 18, 2018. JET 2018 was conducted by FTII in offline mode on February 18, 2018. Candidates who qualify JET entrance exam will have to participate in the next level of process for SRFTI admission 2018 wherein the institute will inform the candidates directly about the interview. The shortlisted candidates will have to register themselves for an interactive orientation course and the interview which is an integral part of SRFTI 2018 admission process. SRFTI admission criteria is different for the varied courses which are offered by the institute. Under SRFTI 2018 admission, certain percentage of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-NCL and persons with benchmark disabilities. Those who have been shortlisted for SRFTI admission will have to submit an affidavit on a non-judicial paper. There are 72 seats that are offered in the postgraduate programme in Cinema and thirty seats for the postgraduate programme in television. SRFTI Admission Criteria 2018
The admission criteria of SRFTI 2018 first specifies the parameters which the candidates will have to meet after they have qualified JET 2018. Those in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply but they are required to submit their final degree before the date of admissions. It is to be noted that candidates opting for specialization in Animation Cinema must be proficient in drawing. However, it is imperative for the candidates to qualify JET 2018 after which they will have to undergo an orientation programme and face an interview.

Selection Process for SRFTI Admission
Candidates have been shortlisted for SRFTI admission 2018 on the basis of the marks/ranks secured by them in JET 2018. After clearing the first level of the admission process to SRFTI by qualifying JET 2018 entrance exam, candidates will now have to undergo an orientation programme and interview. The list of shortlisted candidates for SRFTI admission 20018 is available now. At the time of the orientation and interview, candidates will have to carry with them requisite documents which have to be verified by officials at the institute. The admission process of SRFTI for selecting candidates for the Postgraduate Programme in Cinema and the Postgraduate Programme in Television are different. All candidates will have to produce their original documents as specified along with two sets of attested copies. General category candidates will be called in 1:4 ratio as per the merit list while reserved category candidates in the ratio of 1:5 ratio.

Candidates shortlisted for this programme will have to attend an Interactive Orientation Course as well as an interview.
While attending the orientation programme, candidates must complete their document verification.
Postgraduate Programme in Television
Candidates must attend the interview and submit their documents for verification.

Key Features of SRFTI Admission 2018
- Candidates who are visually challenged will not be considered for SRFTI 2018 admission for cinematography and those who are hearing impaired will not be offered admission in the sound recording and design.
- Candidates who do not pay the admission fee on time, the next candidate in the merit list of SRFTI will be offered admission.
- Under the SRFTI 2018 admission policy, those candidates who have already been admitted to other institute affiliated to any other university or are working, they would have to produce their resignation, no-objection certificate withdrawal at the time of admission to the institute. If the candidate fails to produce the requisite documents, then he would have to apply to the Dean and seek extension of time for admission to SRFTI. Such candidates will not be allowed to provide to submit the "withdrawal or cancellation certificate one week after the course commences.
- Candidates failing to submit the withdrawal, cancellation certificate within the specified date, their provisional admission to SRFTI will be cancelled

About Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2018
Candidates aspiring to get admission to SRFTI will have to clear JET 2018. The application form of JET 2018 was available in online mode from December 24, 2017 till January 31, 2018. The offline entrance exam of JET was conducted on February 18 and the admit card was available for downloading from February 8, 2018. It could be downloaded tFebruaryaury 18, 2018
JET Application Form 2018- Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay fee of Rs 4,000 for application form of JET 2018 while those belonging to the SC/ST and PWD category will have to pay Rs 1250 either through the debit card or credit card. While filling the JET 2018 application form, candidates will have to correctly mention their personal, academic and contact details. Before filling the JET application form 2018, candidates will have to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of JET.
JET Exam Pattern- Candidates appearing for JET entrance exam need to know exam pattern of JET 2018 which includes the duration of exam, marking scheme, type of questions that are asked and medium of the test. In order to perform well in JET entrance exam, candidates can practise from the sample papers of SFTI.
JET Result 2018- The result of JET 2018 has been declared on April 15, 2018. After the announcement of JET 2018 result, under SRFTI 2018 admission process, candidates will have to undergo orientation and interview.
Candidates will be called for selection and admission to SRFTI based on the ranks scored by them.
