XIC OET 2019 - Xavier Institute of Communication will conduct Xavier Institute of Communications online entrance test (XIC OET) between April 27 and May 19, 2019, in the online mode. The application form of XIC OET 2019 is available in the online mode from April 1 till May 15. Students will have to pay Rs. 2500 as a registration fee for XIC OET 2019. What is Statement of Purpose (SOP)?
Statement of Purpose is a document that mentions the reason why students want to join a particular course. Although SOP is needed during the interview, students have to upload it while filling the XIC OET application form 2019.
Uploading portfolio is optional for candidates at the time of registration. The portfolio incorporates work/projects such as essay/write-up, Video/documentary or photographs carried out by students during the course of their study over the years. Students can send only two of his/her best works through email and the file size should not exceed more than 10 MB. Students have to send their portfolio within two days of the registration.
The exam pattern of XIC OET 2019 mentions the mode, duration of the exam, types of questions asked, total marks and marking scheme. The entrance exam is conducted in the online mode and the exam duration is 1.5 hours. The types of questions asked in the entrance test are subjective and objective. Logical and Analytical Skills
In this section, candidates will be assessed for their language ability. The following are the topics that will be asked in the exam - correct the spellings, idioms and phrases, comprehension, antonyms and synonyms
Candidates will be examined for their general and current affair awareness. Candidates, therefore, should stay updated with social, political and economic happenings
In this part, candidates will be tested for their problem solving competency. Questions will be asked from topics, such as Blood relations, directions, syllogism, reasoning and analogy
Candidates who have successfully registered will receive XIC OET 2019 admit card on their registered email ID. They have to download and take a print out of the admit card and keep it safely till the completion of the admission procedure. Students must carry the XIC OET admit card to the examination hall as they will have it produce it there to take the entry.
Xavier Institute of Communications will announce the result of XIC OET 2019 in the first week of June in the online mode. The result includes the names and reference number of qualified candidates. Students are shortlisted based on the minimum qualifying marks in the test. The shortlisted candidates in the XIC OET 2019 entrance test will be eligible for the next round of selection, which includes group discussion and interview.
The selection process of XIC OET2019 is held after the entrance test. The shortlisted candidates who will secure minimum qualifying marks will be eligible for further round, which includes personal interview through Skype. The test takers at the Mumbai centre had to face to face personal interview. For other courses, there will be group discussion and personal interview instead of Skype call.
