DU Journalism admission 2017 begins; last date to apply September 8
Delhi University (DU), Delhi School of Journalism (DSJ) on August 23, 2017, launched a Five-year Integrated programme in Journalism, in both English and Hindi mediums. The application forms for the DU Journalism course are available from August 23 and will be available for a short-window until September 8, 2017. Admissions to the five year integrated programme will be offered through an entrance test to be conducted on September 17. The Five-Year Integrated Course in Journalism under DSJ has been introduced with a thought that will lead to a cadre of graduates with degrees of Bachelor of Journalism (BJ) and Master of Journalism (MJ). In an official statement, Vice Chancellor, Yogesh Tyagi, DSJ, said that the reason the Journalism School has been established is the contemporary and evolving needs of society and to nurture a new generation of well-trained media professionals.

DU Five year Integrated Journalism programme details
Delhi School of Journalism will offer a Five Year Integrated Programme in Journalism in two languages, English and Hindi. The DU Journalism programme has an exit option after three years, where students will receive a Bachelor of Journalism degree. After completing the 5-year programme, students will be awarded the Master of Journalism degree.
As a part of the curriculum, students will also learn any one of the four offered foreign languages (French, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic) along with a regional language (Tamil and Bengali) throughout the programme.
DU Journalism Eligibility Criteria 2017
According to the eligibility criteria of DU DSJ Entrance Exam, candidates must have a passed higher secondary certificate from a recognised board with minimum 50 per cent marks. Some of the details regarding the admission requirements are:
Students from any stream can apply provided they have obtained 50% in Class XII
Candidates must qualify in the national level written entrance test conducted by the University of Delhi.

The application process will be online only, where the candidates have to visit the official website and register for the test. The application instructions are:
Online Registration: The applicants seeking admission to UG merit based programme must register online. They must enter their name, Email ID, mobile number to register. They must also enter a password comprising of 8 characters. After successful registration, candidates will receive their User ID and password to their registered email and mobile number
After registration, candidates will have to fill the online application form with their personal, academic and address details. They must upload the following documents

Passport size photograph – photo should be 2 inch x 2 inch (5 mm x 5 mm) in size.
Scanned signature of the applicant.
Self- attested Class XII Mark-Sheet.
Self-attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/PwD//CW valid certificate, if applicable.
A copy of a valid Photo ID as specified
DU Journalism 2017 Application Fee
Note: Candidates must pay the application fee online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking after submission of their application form
DU Journalism Admit Card 2017
Candidates can download their admit card for DU Journalism entrance exam from September 11, 2017 - three days from the last date of the application form. The Admit Card shall display information related to the exam centre, reporting time etc.
Candidates must carry the following to the exam centre:
DU Journalism 2017 Admit Card.
Photo ID Identity card - any one of the following documents
Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN card, Voter’s identity card, Passport or College identity card
The test will be conducted in an online mode only. The DU Journalism entrance test will test students in their proficiency in Analytical & Comprehension skills as well as General Knowledge and Current Affairs. The standard of the test will be on par with those at the national level from Class XII students.
DU Journalism 2017 Selection Procedure
Selected candidates will have to follow the following steps:
Verification of documents will be held at Delhi School of Journalism, Sports Complex, University of Delhi. Applicants shall take the print out of the filled in admission form along with the specified documents and submit at the centre.
Approval of admission: The Delhi School of Journalism will retain the certificates of the approved applicants. After this, the school will approve the admission on the UG admission portal.
Online payment of Admission fee: The applicant will then be required to log-on to the admission portal to pay the Admission Fee through the available online payment options. The approved applicant will be permitted to make online admission fee payment till 12 noon of the next day of the given admission list’s deadline.
