MICAT 2020 - Admissions to MICA's PGDM-C Programme is through MICAT 2020. Aspirants can fill the MICAT application form in online mode at mica.ac.in. Only candidates who have qualified in CAT 2019 / XAT 2020 / GMAT (2018 onwards) can apply for MICAT 2020. The last date to fill MICAT 2020 application form (Phase 1) is November tentatively. MICAT is a computer based test held across 48 exam centres in the country in two phases - December and February. Phase I candidates can download their MICAT 2020 admit card in the last week of November tentatively and check their MICAT result in the third week of December. The application for MICAT II will be available from December, 2019 while the admit card can be downloaded in the first week of February, 2020. To appear for MICAT 2020, candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria. MICAT 2020 eligibility criteria mentions all the parameters such as the qualifying marks they need to have scored in their graduation, the entrance exam they need to get through to appear for MICAT and the age restriction.

The application form for MICAT 2020 will be released anytime soon in September. The last date for filling MICAT application form 2020 is the third week of November 2019. MICAT application form for phase II will start from third week of December 2019 to last week of January 2020. Candidates who wish to appear in both MICAT I & II will have to apply separately for both the exams. The best of the two scores will be considered for the final selection.
Candidates can follow the steps given below for filling MICAT application form 2020.
Step 1 – MICAT Registration: Candidates have to enter their name, mobile number, email ID and submit the same to register and fill the application form of MICAT 2020.
Step 2- Login to fill Personal Details: Candidates must enter details like nationality, gender, date of birth. They must also select at least three exam centres of MICAT in order of preference
Step 3- Qualification Details: Candidates must enter their educational details related to class X , XII, graduation and post graduation ( if applicable). Details of any work experience must also be provided here
Step 4-Details of CAT 2019/XAT 2020/GMAT 2018 scores : Candidates must enter the scores of any one of the exams. GMAT scores can be from 2018 onwards.
Step 5- Uploading of Documents: Candidates must upload the scanned images of photograph and signature. The size of the filw shouold be 80 KB and in JPG or JPEG format.
Step 6- Payment of MICAT Application Fee: This is the last stage before submission of the form. Candidates can pay the application fee online through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking or offline through DD in favour of MICA payable at Ahmedabad. The DD must be sent along with the payment advice to the institute after putting a signature on the given space.

Candidates must choose three exam centres of MICAT 2020 while filling the application form. Mudra Institute of Communication has specified 48 cities across the country for MICAT. The list of the MICAT 2020 exam centres is given in the table below.

MICAT 2020 cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates needs to obtain to be eligible for the next round of selection. The score obtained in each section of MICAT 2020 will be calculated into a normalized score separately. The total MICAT-I/MICAT-II score will also be normalized using appropriate statistical methods. It is to be noted that about 1/10th of the total number of candidates who appear in both MICAT I and II will be shortlisted for GE & PI based on their CAT/XAT/ GMAT and the total MICAT Score.
The result of MICAT 2020 for phase I will be declared in third week of December 2019 while MICAT 2020 result for phase II will be announced in third week of February. MICAT shortlisting criteria for GE & PI:
The order of shortlisting for MICAT 2020 GE and PE has been explained by MICA as follows. It is to be noted that each section of the entrance exam has its own cutoff and candidates are firts assessed in section A, then CAT/XAT or GMAT scores followed by performance in section B and lastly section C. The assessment is as follows.
Candidates must qualify first in section A of MICAT (Psychometric test)
Those who qualify in the Psychometric section, will move to the next stage where their relative performance on CAT 2019/XAT 2020 /GMAT 2018 onwards will be considered. Only candidates who have scored the minimum cut-off in these entrance exams shall be considered further.
Next to be considered is the Section B of MICAT 2020 where students who score the minimum cutoff (normalized scores) will be assessed further in section C.
Candidates who have qualified in all sections will be called for the group exercise and personal interview to be held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai
The candidates list for GE & PI is prepared on the composite score formula which is 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT + 50% MICAT scores
Candidates who appear in GE & PI will be considered for the final MICAT 2020 merit list only if they are recommended by the majority of the panelists of the personal interview.

Yes, for the batch of 2019-2021, MICA has increased its intake of students through the newly created PGDM program. The authorities, however, will continue to select 180 students in the PGDM-C program.
MICA offers a diploma called PGDM-C which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Both the programs have MICA’s traditional emphasis on Strategic Marketing and Communication. The new PGDM will be extra focused on Marketing, Branding, Design and Digital Transformation.
