Candidates will be asked both objectives as well as subjective questions in MICAT 2020. As per the exam pattern of MICAT 2020, there is no negative marking for the Descriptive section and Psychometric section. The sections that have a negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer are- Verbal Ability (VA), General Awareness (GA), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCR).

Questions in this section are designed to assess the behavior of candidates, including thinking ability, personality, strengths, and weakness. Students should answer honestly and with an open mind. Questions are based on life goals, career goals, situational judgment, etc.
According to past year questions, in the first set of questions, candidates were given three choices and they were asked to state which of them describes their behavior in the best manner.
In the second set of questions, candidates were asked to give a rating on the scale of 1 to 6 for the responses under a certain scenario in terms of their priority. There were around 8 to 10 questions asked in the exam.
The paper primarily aims to assess candidates’ personality and verify whether he/she is fit to be a part of MICAT.

As far as last year cutoff is concerned which is 78 percentile in CAT you have no chance. Getting good score in MICAT can get you a call till 75 percentile at some conditions but getting less than 70, In my opinion there is no chance, However MICA also accept XAT score so, if you have good percentile like 75-80 in it than you have a chance to convert it.

As per my knowledge the MICAT-I application form is out and the last date for filling the form is 25th November 2019.
For filling the academic details the aspirant should have atleast
50% in his undergrads
65% and above in his class XII and class 10.
Marks should be in percentage
The Aggregate of marks is considered and not something like Best of 4 or 5 subjects.

MICA Ahmedabad will release MICAT I 2020 application form in online mode in September 2019 with last date being in third week of November 2019.
MICAT is conducted twice in online mode for the various programmes that are offered at the institute.
The fee for MICAT 2020 application form is Rs. 1985 for all the categories.
