Question & Answers

Hello Aspirant ,

M.Tech and ME does not differ much . You will have more or less same level of job opportunities after both but a popular choice is usually M.Tech. The initial salary after M.Tech will be around 3 lakhs per annum and it can go upto 12-15 lakhs , this may vary based on the stream/specialization, industry or sector you are employed in , company brand and the job position. The average salary package for someone who has completed PhD in management is around 4LPA to 8LPA per annum. Doing PhD is usually considered best to pursue teaching and research career and in India ,there are many good management institutes , so if you join as an MBA faculty member in recognized institution after clearing NET exam , you can earn well. Apart form teaching , data analyst, business development manager, associate, manager, business analyst, team assistant, consultant etc and the salary will depend on the company you join. You can have various job opportunities in the state or central government sector, and it usually pays well according to your grade. M.Tech is technology and management is all about business so, do not compare , also it is important that you you join a premier institute for both these course to get quality education , exposure and guidance and also to get better starting salaries . Try IITs for M.tech and IIMs for management or at least next level colleges.there are equally rewarding opportunities in both fields ,you should find the right one , and it entirely depends on your skills, knowledge/expertise ,academic experience, the college you choose ,industry exposure you gain during or after the course period and your how you perform and develop in your job.  Before deciding consider your interest between technology and management ,because both M.Tech and PhD are advance level degrees and only if you have a genuine interest towards the subject will you be able to become successful in the field.

  2. The admissions procedure often includes an entrance examination, such as the APSCHE-conducted APRCET (Andhra Pradesh Research Common Entrance Test), or national-level assessments such as UGC NET, CSIR NET, or GATE.

Hello there,

No, generally you cannot do a 1-year diploma and then directly write TS ECET to get admission into the 2nd year of B.Tech.

Here's why, according to the standard eligibility criteria for TS ECET:

  • Required Qualification: To be eligible for TS ECET (and lateral entry into B.Tech 2nd year), you must have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, or any other equivalent diploma recognized by the Government.

  • Minimum Marks: You also need to have secured at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in your Diploma.

A 1-year diploma typically does not fulfill the requirement of a full 3-year diploma course. The lateral entry scheme is designed for students who have completed the full foundational engineering knowledge provided by a standard 3-year diploma.

Therefore, to be eligible for TS ECET, you would need to complete a full 3-year diploma program first.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
