JET Exam Pattern 2019- Film and Television Institute of India announced the exam pattern of Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2019 for the aspiring candidates. The JET 2019 exam pattern  helps them in knowing the type of questions that are asked in the entrance exam, mode of the test, marking scheme, and other important details. The language of the question paper, as well as subjects and topics, which is also be part of JET exam pattern 2019. JET 2019 was conducted on February 24 in offline mode, and it includes objective and subjective questions. According to the exam pattern of JET 2019, some part of the entrance exam was held in the morning session while the remaining part in the afternoon session. JET exam pattern 2019 also states that the test for film wing courses was held during the morning session while the exam for TV wing courses was conducted in afternoon. JET Exam Pattern 2019

Objective as well as subjective questions will be asked in the Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2019. Candidates have to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) on a separate OMR sheet with a black or blue pen.

JET 2019 Exam Pattern: Section-wise break up 

JET 2019 was conducted for three hours. The exam for the film wing was held in morning. Paper 1 to 9 took place in the morning session. The descriptive section of the film wing programme will evaluate the candidate’s aptitude in a specific field of cinematic expression. There has been a minor change in the exam pattern of JET 2019. In 2018, there were three sub-parts in Section and it was of 50 marks. However, in JET 2019, there are are two sub-sections in Section A. There were 15 questions each from General Aptitude Test and questions related to cinema. Section A questions was multiple choice questions.

There has also been a change in JET 2019 exam pattern for section B. Previously candidates had to answer 5 questions out of the eight questions. However, in JET 2019, candidates had to answer total five questions that are given. In the descriptive quetsions, candidates will had the choice to answer three out of five questions.

In this part of JET exam pattern 2019, candidates had to answer one long descriptive question of 20 marks. In 2018, candidates had to answer 5 questions of 10 marks each. The objective of this section is to assess the aptitude of the students towards the audio-visual medium.

JET 2019 Exam Pattern - Section  C (Respective Specialization) Specific Area Aptitude Test (Descriptive) 


In this section of JET 2019 exam pattern, candidate’s aptitude in the chosen audio-visual field will be assessed.

Note: The multiple choice questions have to be answered only in the OMR sheet and candidate will be permitted to apply only one course in the Film Wing group and only one course from the Television (FTII) / Electronic and Digital Media (SRFTI) group

JET 2019 Result and JET Selection Procedure

The result of JET 2019 will be announced on April 22. The scorecard of JET 2019 will comprise of the marks scored by candidates and percentile, which will also be shared with both FTII and SRFTI institutes. Both the institutes will contact the shortlisted candidates for the next stage.

The JET 2019 was conducted by Film and Television Institute of India, Pune on February 24.
