Candidates interested to get admitted in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication should go through the IIMC 2024 eligibility criteria. The Indian Institute of Mass Communication offers admissions for PG programmes through the CUET PG 2024 exam. The IIMC eligibility criteria include - academic qualifications, age criteria, reservation of the seats, nationality and more.

Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria of IIMC will not be eligible for admissions in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. IIMC Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Academic Qualification

  • An undergraduate degree in any subject or stream.

  • Degree from a UGC recognized university.

  • Final-year graduates can also apply but are required to submit relevant documents within the given time.

IIMC 2024 Eligibility Criteria - Nationality

  • Should be a citizen of India.

  • NRIs are exempted.

  • NRI and NRI supported candidates should apply separately. Their selection is based upon their performance in the exam, group discussion and interview.

  • Each course offers 5 reserved seats for NRIs and NRI-sponsored candidates.

The age criteria for IIMC for different categories of the candidates is as given below:

  • General category- Candidate should be born on or after 1st August,1998.

  • OBC category - Candidate should be born on or after 1st August, 1995.

  • SC, ST category - Candidate should be born on or after 1st August, 1993.

IIMC 2024 Eligibility Criteria - Reservation of Seats

  • As per the IIMC admission criteria 2024, a percentage of seats are reserved for candidates from Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, OBC, and PH.

  • The SC, ST candidates will have to produce relevant documents like the caste certificate to support their case and the PH (Physically Handicapped) should produce their medical certificate.

There are no major changes in the exam pattern of CAT.

The paper will be divided into three sections and has a total of 76 questions.

There will be 26 questions in the VARC and Quantitative aptitude section and 24 questions in the DILR section.

For shortlisting, the candidate must score high in each section to clear the sectional score cutoffs.
