JMI Mass Communication Interview: AJ Kidwai Mass Communication Research Centre will release the list of the candidates invited for the interview round from July onwards. The candidates have to appear in the interview round at the scheduled time against their serial number in the JMI interview list 2023. The shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on the following parameters -
Knowledge about social, political, cultural issues
Visualisation skills and creative aptitude
Knowledge about modern media
Knowledge of the subjects/topics which the candidates have studied at undergraduate level

JMI Mass Communication Group Discussion - The candidates have to appear for the group discussion after the entrance test. During the group discussion round, the candidates have to express their views or ideas in favour or against the topic.
JMI Mass Communication Portfolio: The candidates have to display their portfolio at the time of interview. It could contain something related to the mass media work. The students must have a portfolio of their work in order to get marks in the portfolio section. Those students who will not display their work portfolio will not be rewarded with any marks in the portfolio section of the admission process. JMI will generally select candidates based on the following parameters -
Published work (Articles and stories etc. published in reputed journals and magazines)
Proof of production work (audio/visual media-based)
Proof of online work
Proof of internship/work experience with a media house of some fame
Proof of participation in extracurricular activities (debating, painting, music, theatre etc.
JMI Mass Communication Document Verification - The candidates who are selected provisionally and are featured in the selection list have to complete the document verification process and complete the admission formalities at the Office of the Director, A.J.Kidwai Mass Communication Research Centre.

The exam is given in an online setting. The exam lasts for two hours overall and has objective-type questions. General English, Reasoning, and Awareness of the World questions are included.
But it doesn't means that you can give this exam at home. You need to appear for this exam at your respective exam centre.

The Minimum Academic Qualifications for the (B.Ed) entrance exam at Jamia Millia Islamia necessary are as follows:
Bachelor's Degree in school teaching subject with not less than 45% marks and at least 50% marks in Master's Degree Examination in the same school teaching subject in which the candidate has applied.
OR
Bachelor's Degree in school teaching subject with not less than 50% marks.
The main school teaching subject in which the candidate is applying for should have been studied in all years or semesters.
Unfortunately, you cannot apply for B.Ed for history or political science in JMI but you can apply for B.Ed in Mathematics and Economics.
