Overview

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Examination, commonly known as IIMC Entrance Exam, is conducted by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). The test is conducted for admissions to its post graduate journalism and communication programmes, for around 184 seats across six IIMC campuses. Besides in English, the test is also conducted in Hindi and Odia. However, you will be required to submit your final mark sheet at the time of admission.

There are no major changes in the exam pattern of CAT.

The paper will be divided into three sections and has a total of 76 questions.

There will be 26 questions in the VARC and Quantitative aptitude section and 24 questions in the DILR section.

For shortlisting, the candidate must score high in each section to clear the sectional score cutoffs.

IIMC is conducted for admission to postgraduate diploma program in journalism with its following campuses;

IIMC New Delhi
IIMC Dhenkanal
IIMC Aizawl
IIMC Amravati
IIMC Jammu
IIMC Kottayam

IIMC doesn't have its campus in Kolkata, so you can't get admission there, however if you're interested to give this exam,you may choose any of the aforementioned campus.

If you want to get admission in Masters program in IIMC, you need to answer an entrance exam conducted by IIMC. Also, to apply for this college, the candidate must have a graduation degree from any recognized University. Even the final year students are who are waiting to avail their results shall apply for the same. The exam will be conducted in offline mode and will be held for duration of 2 hours. You have to fill the entrance exam application form on the official website of IIMC. Based on the merit, students will be selected and called for a group discussion after which admissions will be given.

Exam for Odia/Urdu/Marathi/Malayalam Journalism will be on May 25,2020 and For Pg diploma courses will be on May 26,2020.Th applications for this entrance examination starts from April 17,2020  till May 01,2020.I hope this information may helps you a little bit.Good luck!!
