Is there an entrance test for SRFTI? Is it good or is FTII better?

Urvashi Dalal 30th Oct, 2017
Hi, The answer to the first part of your question is Yes. SRFTI has an offline entrance exam. The test has 100 questions, divided into two sections, to be completed within a duration of 3 hours. SFTI entrance exam has both subjective and objective type of questions. The officials shortlist candidates basis the exam score for further admission process. You can also read details here- https://media.careers360.com/articles/srfti-entrance-exam Coming to the next part of the question about selecting the better one. Considering various factors and parameters like faculty, equipment, exposure etc, in my opinion, both are same. See both the institutions are among the top 10 institutes of India for Film Studies and the best for film programmes. The final selection is your call. Hope this helps!

What is eligibility for FTII course in film making?

Urvashi Dalal 27th Oct, 2017
Hi, The basic eligibility, for all the PG programme at FTII, you need to have a passed graduate degree from a recognised institute/university. Assuming you are asking about the PG programme in Direction & Screenplay Writing, as there is no exact filmmaking course, you need to be a graduate with minimum 50 percent (OBC candidates must have a minimum of 45%. SC/ST Category must have 40%). You can be from any of the disciplines but must have a keen interest in the field. Final year candidates can also apply provided they complete their graduation by August 2018 (if applying for the current year). Such candidates must mail their certificates by the specified dates to the institute. Adding to this, PG diploma is a three-year programme.
