MICAT 1 Analysis 2020 - MICA Ahmedabad conducted national level management entrance test-MICAT I on December 7, 2019 for admissions to PGDMC and PGDM. The exam analysis includes overall difficulty level of the exam, section-wise, number and types of questions asked in each section. As per exam analysis of MICAT I 2020, around 8 questions were asked from Trigonometry in quantitative section, two question from times, periods and distance and one question from time and work. According to the students who took the exam, there was a technical glitch in the paper as one question in psychometric section was asked two times. English section was easy, Maths was a little difficult and general knowledge section was the toughest one. In quantitative section, trigonometry part was dominating the entire paper as eight questions were asked from the same.

Let us have a look at the section wise MICAT I 2019 exam analysis.
Students who took the exam did not share anything about the difficulty level of this section as it is entirely based on how creatively students answer the test. the questions were statement-based wherein students had to write five arguments, and then write an application of that statement in a practical environment. Students were not allowed to use the points the wrote in the previous statement, which was a bit tricky. The word limit was 300 and altogether there were four questions. The marks allotted to first, second, third and fourth question was 10, 10, 20, 30, respectively.
In this section, there were a few questions where none of the options were correct. According to exam analysis of MICAT 2020, this section was the easiest one as compared to other section. Some questions were based on patterns wherein students had to identify the similar image or the second similar image in the pattern
The general awareness was the most difficult section according to students who appeared in the exam. Students could not attempt all of the questions in general awareness. Many questions were based on Geography, companies logos and current affairs.
The overall difficulty level of this section was easy. The questions based on vocabulary were also simple. There was a passage, which had 4 to 5 questions. Also, questions were based on fill in the blanks, antonyms, synonyms, and sentence arrangement.
In Quantitative ability section, students had to answer eight questions from Trigonometry (height and distance), two questions from times, period and distance and one question from time and work, two questions from mensuration, one question from arithmetic progression. In this section, trigonometry part was section was dominating. There were two sets from DI, one was based on tables and other one was pie charts. The calculation section was difficult, which made the quantitative section a bit lengthy. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.
There were 150 questions in the psychometric section, which was a bit lengthy. The time duration was 30 minutes. Students did not comment on the difficulty level because the questions test the creative abilities of students. The types of questions asked in this section were:
According to IMS Learning experts, candidates clearing the Psychometric and Descriptive sections and securing about 45-47 overall score expect a call for the MICAT selection procedure. The result of MICAT - I will be declared on December 23, 2019 and the application form for MICAT - II started on November 27, 2019. MICAT - II 2020 will be held on January 25, 2020.
