MICAT Selection Procedure 2022 - MICA, Ahmedabad has released the MICAT 2022 CCC PI shortlist and PGP GE & PI shortlist on February 18. The MICAT selection procedure 2022 is divided into two parts - group exercise (GE) and personal interview (PI). After the MICAT selection procedure 2022, a final merit list will be released based on the MICAT score, group discussion and personal interview. The selection process of MICAT 2022 will be held at MICA campus. The institute will conduct the MICAT twice for the academic year 2022-23. Candidates qualifying the entrance test are shortlisted for MICAT selection procedure 2022. Then, shortlisted candidates have to participate in the group exercise (GE) and personal interview (PI). The selection process of MICAT 2022 includes three procedures given below:
Step 1: CAT/XAT/GMAT
Each candidate must have taken at least one of the three exams: CAT/XAT/GMAT (CAT/ XAT/ GMAT (onwards).
Step 2: MICA Admission Test (MICAT)
The institute will assess all the candidates based on the MICAT, which has the following 3 sections
Section A: Psychometric Test
Section B: (has 4 sub-sections) - Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General Awareness; Divergent and Convergent Thinking
Section C: Descriptive Test.

Step 3: GE and PI
All the candidates who have been selected based on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT have to take part in both Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).

Section A of MICAT (Psychometric test) is a qualifier.
Candidates' performance in the CAT/XAT/GMAT will be considered if they pass the Psychometric section. The institute will consider the minimum cut-off secured by candidates in CAT/XAT total percentile/GMAT score.
The institute will assess the Section B of MICAT for candidates based on their performance in the CAT/XAT/GMAT performance.
Those candidates who pass based on the relative performance subject to securing a minimum cut-off (normalized scores)) of Section B of MICAT shall have their Section C of MICAT Assessed. Each section will have its own cut-off.
Those candidates who pass based on the sections a, b, c and d (on the basis of relative performance subject to a minimum cut-off (normalized scores)) of Section C of MICAT will be considered for shortlisting for GE and PI. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the GE and PI at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. (The list of candidates shortlisted for GE and PI is prepared on the basis of a composite score formula of 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT marks and 50% MICAT scores).

Some of the important points about GE-PI round are mentioned below:
Candidates who have been shortlisted for GE-PI round are issued a call letter by the institute.
The first phase will be conducted in Ahmedabad.
The institute will conduct the second phase for group exercise and personal interview at Bengaluru and Mumbai.
After the final round of the MICAT selection procedure 2022, the institute will release the final merit list.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the following parameters:
Candidates mentioned in the final merit list are unanimously approved by the panelists who take their personal interview.
Candidates must secure at least 3.5 or more on a scale of 5 in Group Exercise (GE) round.
They also have to secure a minimum of 4 or above in Personal Interview (PI).

On February 17, 2022, MICA, Ahmedabad, announced the MICAT 2022 result for phase 2 on mica.ac.in. Using their login credentials, candidates may check the MICAT 2022 phase 2 result. MICAT result 2022 has been emailed to applicants' registered email addresses, and students who took the entrance exam can now verify their qualifying status.

MICAT Syllabus - Psychometric Test
Basically, this is a personality test and this section is different from other management entrance examinations. It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt all the questions in this section. Some of the important aspects related to the test are explained below.
In this section, the questions are designed to assess the candidates’ behavior which includes thinking ability, personality, strengths and weaknesses etc. Questions are based on career goals, life goals, situational judgement. Candidates should answer the questions with honesty and open mind

Duration allotted for the psychometric test is 25 minutes.
According to previous year sample papers, in the first set of questions, out of the three options candidates should select the option which describes their behavior in the best way.

There is no such minimum cutoff to apply for MICAT - II . However, if you are having good scores of CAT/XAT you will have good chances to get admission in to top institute.
