Hello,

If you scored 49 marks in PCB and the cutoff for counseling is 50 , it is risky to increase your marks artificially. During counseling, the information you provide, including marks, is usually verified against your original mark sheet . If a discrepancy is found (e.g., 49 shown as 50), your admission can be canceled , and you might even face restrictions in future exams or counseling processes.

Suggesstions :-

  1. Always provide accurate information : Manipulating marks is a serious offense and can harm your career.
  2. Review the counseling rules : Check if you qualify under any special category or relaxation criteria.
  3. Explore other options :
    • Look for colleges or courses with lower cutoffs where your marks are eligible.
    • Prepare for alternative exams or the next session to improve your score.

Honesty is critical in such processes; misleading authorities can have long-term consequences.

Hope it helps !
