How to Get Admission in IIMC?

For getting through one of the most prestigious institutes for pursuing mass communication you will be required to apply for IIMC entrance exam. Before taking the exam, you must know about the IIMC preparations tips to clear the entrance exam. Every year, the application form for Indian Institute of Mass Communication is available in April. Before filling the application form, you should be sure that you fulfill the basic eligibility criteria of IIMC.

  • Academic Qualification: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Candidates who are in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for IIMC entrance exam.

  • Maximum Age: Candidates must have been born on or after August 1, 1994 (1st August 1989 in case of SC/ST/PH and 1st August 1991 in case of OBC)

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national.

After filling the IIMC application form, you will have to clear the written test first and if you clear it, your name will be listed on the website of IIMC for the next round that is group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). If you clear this round, then you are selected for the course. Submit the fee and join the classes.

IIMC Placements

Towards the end of the academic session, IIMC organizes placement and internship, thereby facilitating an interaction between the industry and candidates. Indian Institute of Mass Communication offers good placement opportunities for students as is the premier institute for mass communication in India. Almost all news agencies, news channels, radio companies, advertisement and PR agencies and PSUs come for recruitment. The students are also encouraged to apply independently to the organization of their choice.
