ACJ Entrance Exam 2018 - The Asian College of Journalism has announced the ACJ entrance exam 2018 result on May 18. Earlier the result of ACJ 2018 entrance exam was to be announced on May 22. The list of candidates 484 who have been shortlisted for interview is provided on this page. Candidates can check the link that is given below. ACJ 2018 entrance exam was conducted on May 13, 2018  in online mode. The shortlisted candidates will have to take part in the next round of admission which is a personal interview and it will be held from May 30 to June 3, 2018. The final list of candidates who will be offered admission will be announced on June 5, 2018. Those candidates who finally clear this stage and are offered admission, they will have to pay the fees and confirm their admission. The authorities had send a SMS to the candidates about their admit card and it will mention their roll number in it. The institute offers admissions to the PG Diploma in Journalism programme and in postgraduate diploma in business and financial journalism through the entrance exam of ACJ 2018. The college had released the application form on March 3 and the last date for filling it was extended to April 27. Earlier the end date to fill the ACJ 2018 application form was April 16. The processing fee for one programme is Rs 2000 while that for two programmes is Rs 3, 000. It can be paid through net banking, debit card, credit card or through demand draft. The officials have released the result of ACJ 2018 for the candidates on May 18, 2018. The ACJ result 2018 will declare the names of the candidates who are shortlisted for the admissions to the applied programmes. Candidates who have qualified must get ready for the selection process which is the next stage to avail admissions.


ACJ Selection Process 2018


The selection process of ACJ 2018 consists of Interview rounds only. Candidates who have scored well in the ACJ entrance exam 2018 will be called to participate in the interview at the ACJ campus between May 29 and June 2, 2018. Candidates must attend the interview with their original documents for verification. They are also advised to prepare well for the interviews which will be a test of their knowledge, skill sets, aptitude for the programme applied for etc.

Soon after the interview rounds are conducted, candidates will be selected as per their performance and availability of seats. The officials will release the names of the finally selected candidates online on June 5, 2018. Such candidates will be required to pay the admission fee which is mentioned below.

Note: These fees are to be paid in two equal installments, as per the college guidelines. Fees are subject to service tax as applicable.


The first installment of fees has to paid on or before June 11, 2018 and the final installment has to paid on or before June 22, 2018


The fees for accommodation will be separate.


ACJ Scholarships 2018


Merit-cum-means Scholarships
Students seeking and qualifying for them must indicate clearly in their application if they require scholarships. The full and partial scholarships cover tuition fees and, in special cases, living expenses. Candidates are required to submit proof of family income as stated in the ACJ 2018 application form.

SC/ST Scholarship
Candidates applying for SC/ST scholarships should produce community certificate and proof of annual family income as stated in the application


What's New in ACJ Entrance Exam 2018

  • The application fee of ACJ entrance exam 2018 has been increased to Rs 2, 000 for one programme. Last year it was Rs 1500.
  • In 2018 the tuition fee for Television stream has increased to Rs 4, 48, 400 as compared to 2017 when it was Rs 3, 75,00. The tuition fee for print, radio and new media stream has increased to Rs 4,24, 800 (each programme) as compared to 2017 when it was 3,50,00 for each of them.
  • In 2018 the ACJ entrance exam will be conducted in one session.

ACJ Admit Card 2018


The admit card of ACJ entrance exam 2018 can be downloaded by the candidates by entering their roll number which is sent to them by SMS and their date of birth as mentioned in the application form.  Once the ACJ 2018 application deadline is over, the officials will scrutinize all the applications. Only scrutinized applicants will be called for the entrance test.They will be informed through an SMS. 


The admit card will have the following information

  • Name of the candidates

  • Address, photograph and Signature of the candidates

  • Reporting date, time and venue

How to download the ACJ admit card 2018?

The following are the steps to be followed to download the admit card for ACJ 2018 entrance exam:

1. Click on the link that is provided above 

2. Enter the application number sent to you through an SMS/text message to your mobile number.

3. Enter your date of birth as given in the application form.

4.The SMS will have a prefix of VM-ACJADM in the sender’s name. Candidates should not delete it.

How to prepare for ACJ Exam 2018?


Since the entrance exam carries a weightage to be shortlisted for the selection rounds, candidates are advised to perform well in the same. The best way to start with the preparation for ACJ entrance exam 2018 is to understand the FTII exam pattern, check the syllabus thoroughly and practice with the sample papers.

The scrutinized applicants will have to appear in the ACJ entrance exam 2018 on May 13. The test will be conducted in an online mode only, unlike previous years, when the test was conducted in a paper-pen format. The online test will be divided in two parts- Part A and Part B to be conducted in two sessions.

ACJ Eligibility Criteria 2018


The Asian College of Journalism prescribes the eligibility criteria of ACJ entrance exam 2018 which includes the requisite academic qualifications, percentage of marks which the candidate must score to be able to apply for the entrance exam. Candidates must have graduated from a recognised university or institution. Final year students are also eligible to apply for ACJ 2018 entrance exam provided they submit their degree certificates by February 2019.


ACJ Application Form 2018


The application process for ACJ 2018 is available both in online and offline mode. The form was released on March 3 and the last date for filling it has been extended to April 27. The authorities had earlier announced that candidates could fill the ACJ 2018 APPLICATION FORM TILL April 16. The ACJ application fee is Rs 2, 000 if candidates are applying for one programme and it is Rs 3, 000 if they apply for both the programmes. In order to fill application form of ACJ 2018, candidates can follow the steps that are given below so that they do not face any problem. 


Note: Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category are exempted from the payment of application fee only on submission of their community certificates.


What to keep ready before filling ACJ Application Form 2018

  • Candidates need to keep the following documents ready before they proceed to fill the ACJ 2018 application form.
  • Recent coloured passport size picture of the candidate in JPEG/ PNG format. Selfies are not allowed
  • Academic Details 
  • Candidates will have to provide pay slip, last filed income tax return of earning family members if they wish to avail scholarship
  • Scanned copy of community certificate if the candidate wishes to apply for SC/ST scholarship and also wants exemption from the application fee

Online ACJ Application Form Process


Candidates can follow the steps that are given below while filling the online application form of ACJ entrance exam 2018.

  • Click on the ACJ 2018 ‘Online Application Form’ link under the ‘Admissions’ tab

  • Fill the details in the ACJ 2018 application form that are given below. 
  • Personal details - Educational qualification, Partial scholarship, Computer skills, Course preference, Work Experience, Descriptive questions (Around 8), Skills and other details, Test centre
  • Candidates also have to upload a scanned (digital) image of their recent colour passport size photograph in PNG/JPEG format (less than 500 KB).
  • Once all the correct details are entered, candidates can go for the application fee payment. Payment can be either online through Credit Card/ Debit card/ Net Banking or in the form of Demand Draft in favour of "Media Development Foundation", payable at Chennai with the candidate’s full name, reference number, email address and mobile number behind the DD.
  • Candidates who pay via DD must send the DD to the address mentioned below.

3. Fill in the details in the form. Mention the answers in the blank space provided against each pointer

4. Sign the application form and paste a recent formal passport size photograph

5. Make a Demand Draft of Rs 2,000, in the favour of "Media Development Foundation", payable at Chennai if you are applying for admission in one programme and Rs3, 000 if you are applying for admission for two programmes.
