IIMC Statistics

The IIMC annual report for the academic year 2015-16 mentions that a total of 5,509 candidates applied for the IIMC entrance test.  There was an increase of 15% in the PG applications compared to the preceding year. It is likely that this year there might be a slight increase in the IIMC applications across programmes. The course-wise breakdown of the IIMC applications last year is :

Journalism – 2,175 (576 for Hindi Journalism and 1,599 for English Journalism)

Radio & TV Journalism – 1,416

IIMC Eligibility 2018

 

Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible for the PG Diploma Courses.

Academic Qualification: As per eligibility criteria of IIMC 2018, candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Candidates who are in their final year may also apply provided they submit a provisional certificate in original from their college/university before August 31, 2018, as proof of their passing the relevant degree.

Date of birth:

  • General Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1993 or later are eligible to apply.

  • SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1988 or later are eligible to apply for IIMC 2018.

  • OBC Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1990 or later are eligible to apply.

How to apply for IIMC 2018 Entrance Exam?

 

IIMC Application Form 2018 - The application process for the test can be completed via both online and offline modes. The process has been prescribed by the officials under the Instructions section and in the brochure. The details regarding the methods to apply are explained below.

 

Online Application for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018

 

According to the online application process, in order to apply for the test online, candidates must visit the official website, download the form and send to the officials. 

Online: Candidates must fill the requisite details like Name, Address, Academic qualifications, etc. and pay the application fee of Rs 1200 for General Category students (Rs. 1100 for SC/ST/OBC/PH category) online through Net Banking or Debit/Credit cards.

 

Download: Candidates downloading the form must send the same after filling it along with the DD to IIMC, New Delhi.

 

Important: Candidates must note that they have to fill separate application forms for each PG Diploma programme they apply to. While filling the application form, candidates must indicate the preference of campus that will be allotted to them if they are selected. 

 

Offline Application of IIMC Entrance Exam 2018

  • Candidates can purchase the IIMC Application form 2018 in person or by post.

  • IIMC 2018 Application Fee to be paid is Rs. 1200/- for General Category candidates while it is Rs. 1100/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH category

  • The application fee must be paid through a demand draft only, drawn on any scheduled bank, payable to Registrar, IIMC at New Delhi, from IIMC New Delhi or IIMC Dhenkanal (Odisha).

  • Candidates can purchase the application form at IIMC New Delhi and IIMC Dhenkanal by submitting the DD and obtaining the application form.

  • Candidates obtaining the IIMC application form through post must send a written request giving their details like name, address with pincode and phone number along with the DD and a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 70/-) envelope (27 x 17 cm) to IIMC Delhi, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, JNU New Campus, New Delhi - 110067

IIMC Admit Card 2018

 

The Admit card of IIMC 2018 Entrance Exam will be available for download from May 2018 tentatively. Candidates will have to log in by entering Unique Registration ID, applicant number or date of birth to download the same. The personal details of the candidate along with the exam date, time and centre will also be mentioned on the IIMC Admit Card 2018. Candidates must carry the IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 admit card to the exam hall for identity purposes. Since the admit card is a necessary document for the identity of the candidates, it must be kept safe till the admission process is completed.

 

How to Prepare for IIMC Entrance Test 2018?

Candidates must first check the syllabus and understand the exam pattern to be able to prepare well for the IIMC 2018 entrance test.

IIMC Result 2018

The result of IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 will be declared tentatively in the last week of June 2018. The roll numbers of all the candidates who have qualified will be listed in the IIMC result 2018. Candidates must cross check if they have qualified or not. The IIMC entrance exam result 2018 will be announced separately for each course. Qualified candidates will have to attend the interviews as scheduled by IIMC.

 

IIMC Selection Procedure 2018

Candidates who have qualified in the IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 will be sent call letters to attend the personal interviews as well as group discussions as per the IIMC guidelines. The call letters will mention the date, time, and venue of the interview. The IIMC 2018 selection process schedule will be announced along with the results. Weightage given to the written exam and interview/group discussion for final selection is 85:15.

Final admissions to each campus will be as per the choice of the candidates as indicated in their application forms.

 

Reservation of Seats

The reservation guidelines for the admissions are as per the orders of the Government of India. Five seats are reserved for NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates, in each of the programmes, for which a separate application form has to be submitted.

 

Hostel Facilities at IIMC campuses

IIMC New Delhi has limited accommodation for outstation female students only. However, hostels at IIMC Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amravati, Jammu and Kottayam have facilities for both male and female students.

Question – I was born on July 31, 1990. Can I apply for the IIMC entrance exam?

Answer – No, you are not eligible for IIMC 2018 entrance test. As per eligibility criteria, candidates born on August 1, 1990 or later can apply for the test.

 

Question – How can I get application form?

Answer – There are two methods to get IIMC Application form. You can either download the online application form or you can purchase it from the IIMC centres.

 

Question – Can I modify the changes after submitting the IIMC 2018 application form?

Answer – No, you cannot. There is no provision to make the changes in the application form once it is submitted. Therefore candidates are required to enter all the details very carefully.

 

Question – How can I pay Application form fee of IIMC 2018 entrance exam?

Answer – You can pay IIMC Application fee either in online mode through Net Banking/Debit/Credit cards or in offline mode by submitting the Demand Draft (DD).

 

Question – How to get IIMC 2018 admit card?
